In order to study the heat transfer enhancement performance of twisted tubes, the heat transfer performance
of twisted tubes and ordinary elliptic tubes with the same sectional shape were compared and analyzed
by the method of numerical simulation and experimental study. The variation of fluid Nusselt number Nu,
pressure drop δ P and comprehensive performance evaluation factor η in twisted and elliptic tubes with
Reynolds number Re is studied. When Re is 800-2000, Nu in twisted tubes is 2-3 times that of ordinary
elliptic tubes, and the comprehensive heat transfer performance is 1.5-2 times that of elliptic tubes.
